About the Event

This is an introductory course designed to increase a practitioner's confidence in pulse reading through clear and concise pulse definitions and pulse reading techniques, while focusing heavily on practice and confirmation by the instructor. It will describe pulse qualities and textures in detail, while elucidating the clinical meaning and conclusions that can be drawn from each. The class will cover directional and probing pulses, which allow the practitioner to understand and diagnose the vectors between organ systems and whether those systems are working in concert or are asking for intervention to restore harmony between them. Vibrational, or Yuan Level pulses, allow for the diagnosis of Extraordinary Vessel and Divergent Channel involvement.

This is the first class in what will be an ongoing series of lectures on the complement channels of Acupuncture. It is highly recommended that you consider trying to attend this class if you are planning to come to future courses.
